AI-Native Wireless Agriculture, SDR, and Open RAN
This area brings together precision agriculture, wireless intelligence, and affordable rural connectivity. The research spans wireless sensing, drone imagery, environmental monitoring, proxy sensing, and predictive modelling for irrigation, crop health, yield support, and farm-level decision-making, with a strong focus on sustainable and data-driven agriculture.
It also includes Software-Defined Radio, Open RAN, and open-source wireless platforms as enablers for low-cost experimentation and deployment. A key goal is to understand how portable, energy-efficient, and renewable-powered connectivity systems can support AI-native agricultural environments while remaining practical for real rural settings.
